Educaire Code of Conduct
Introduction
Educaire’s mission is to help GCE and university students in Cameroon learn well and reach their goals. This Code sets out how everyone on Educaire, including students, instructors, and Educaire team members, is expected to behave so the platform stays safe, respectful, and trustworthy for everyone using it.
This Code applies whenever you are using Educaire: taking or teaching a course, posting a review, asking or answering a question, messaging another user, or otherwise interacting through the platform. It works alongside our Terms of Use, which governs accounts, payments, and access, and our Instructor Terms, which set additional expectations for anyone publishing courses on Educaire.
I. Treat Everyone With Respect
Educaire is for learners and instructors of every background. We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive language directed at another student, instructor, or Educaire team member, whether in course reviews, Q&A, live chat, direct messages, or anywhere else on the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, conduct targeting someone’s race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
Disagreement and critical feedback are welcome and expected. Personal attacks, threats, and abuse are not.
II. Academic Integrity
For students, this means:
- Do your own work on quizzes, exams, and assignments. No cheating, plagiarism, or using someone else’s answers as your own.
- Do not share exam or quiz content with other students in a way that undermines assessment for the course.
- Your account is yours. Do not let someone else use it to take a course or exam on your behalf, and do not use someone else’s.
For instructors, this means:
- Course content must be your own work or content you are properly licensed to teach. No uploading material you do not have the rights to.
- Course titles, descriptions, and instructor credentials must be accurate. Do not misrepresent what a course covers or who is teaching it.
- Do not manipulate reviews, ratings, or enrollment numbers, for example, by posting fake reviews or paying for reviews.
III. Content Standards
Course content, reviews, questions, and messages on Educaire must not be illegal, infringe someone else’s copyright or other rights, contain malware, or promote violence, discrimination, or exploitation of minors. Course reviews and Q&A should relate to the actual learning experience.
New and updated courses go through an automated pre-screen and a human admin review before they are visible to students, as described in our Terms of Use. Content that violates this Code can be rejected, removed, or unpublished at any stage.
IV. Respect Course Content & Platform Security
Course videos are provided for your own learning under your account and are protected against unauthorized sharing. Do not download, redistribute, resell, or share your account or course access with people who have not paid for it. Educaire may limit playback to one active device per account to protect instructors’ work and keep the platform fair for paying students.
Do not attempt to bypass Educaire’s security measures, scrape the platform, or interfere with other users’ access to their courses.
V. Reporting a Concern
If you see or experience conduct that violates this Code, such as harassment, cheating, fraudulent course content, a security concern, or anything else, please report it through our Support Team. We review reports and take appropriate action, which can include a warning, content removal, or account suspension or termination as described in our Terms of Use.
VI. Changes to This Code
We may update this Code as Educaire grows. Changes become effective the day they’re posted, and continuing to use Educaire after a change means you accept the updated Code. If you have questions about this Code, please contact our Support Team.
